Mango Jalapeño Guacamole
This simple summer recipe gives a tropical twist to your favorite guacamole. It’s quick to put together once you get the hang of slicing a mango, which can be a bit of a task at first. I recommend watching our tutorial video on Instagram first. My absolute favorite mango is the Keitt variety, if you can find it. If you don’t like spicy, you can omit the jalapeño and add about 1/4 c finely chopped red bell pepper instead.
Enjoy! JJ
Mango Jalapeño Guacamole (gf/v)
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
1 finely chopped jalapeño (remove seeds and ribs for mild)
3 ripe avocados, diced
1/4 c chopped cilantro
1/4 c finely chopped red onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 lime, juiced
1 tbsp orange juice
1/2 tsp salt (more to taste)
1/2 tsp black pepper (more to taste)
1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
Mix all ingredients well and add salt, pepper, and more lime juice to taste. Enjoy with tortilla or plantain chips on a beautiful summer day!
